Welcome to Shie Research Group 

Our group primarily focuses on organic synthesis and chemical biology. We develop innovative chemical bioconjugation methods and novel fluorescent smart probes to profile post-translational modifications (PTMs) in proteins, thereby advancing molecular bioimaging. Specifically, we investigate glycosylation and citrullination to deepen the understanding of biological processes and facilitate the development of new therapies. Additionally, we are committed to creating advanced synthetic strategies for producing glycoconjugates and peptide conjugates that target infectious diseases, cancer, and neurological disorders. Particular emphasis is placed on theranostic proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) therapy. Our interdisciplinary research aims to advance critical knowledge in chemical biology by providing unique chemical tools that enhance the understanding of cellular recognition processes.​​
